How to Become a Freelance Business Content (B2B) Writer – Online Workshop

February 11 February 19

Current batch for this course is sold out. You can still register for the next batch starting from 12th May. Click here to learn more.

Learn how to build a freelance career writing high-paying business content for international clients and agencies.

Content writing can be a convenient, flexible career option. You have to do your work on a schedule, but with no time and place restriction. Once you have a reputation as a freelance writer, you can increase or decrease the amount of work you take on. It allows you a lot of freedom and flexibility. It is one of the simpler ways to make money from writing.

Content writing can come in many shapes. Some writing can be for consumers (like the blog of this website). Other can be Business-to-business (B2B) content, created by businesses whose customers are other businesses (not individual shoppers). In the B2B context, the content writer writes for professional audiences in work mode, representing their business. Like any content, business content too needs to be useful and engaging for the intended audience, and build credibility, connection, and ultimately, conversion for the brand. The main difference is the nature of the audience and the role of content in their buying journey.

In any scenario, a client gives you inputs : a topic, certain keywords, and some direction in terms of the expectations. Once you become a content writer, you can convert such inputs into a fully finished article, and thus earn as a freelance content writer.

Every business wants to be a respected thought leader in its industry – B2B content is the proven way to do that. But this is not advertising content. It’s well-researched educational content designed to engage business audiences. Because it’s such high-value content, B2B content writing pays more than most types of content.

Did you notice the repetition of the phrases “Freelance writing course” and “become a content writer” in the text on this page? That is intentional, and clients may ask their content writers to use certain keywords repetitively for the purposes of Search Engline Optimization (SEO). SEO is Jargon for “Ranking higher on Google”. This course will teach you why that matters and how to do it without making it irritating.

Who is the freelance business content (B2B) writing course for?

Creating content for business audiences needs a combination of industry knowledge and writing skills. If you’ve been on a break from work and want to restart your career; are already a content creator and want to explore a new genre with B2B content; or want a more flexible or creative career on your own terms while using the industry knowledge you’ve picked up at work, B2B content creation could be a great option for you.
