Comic Writing Course – Learn from a Master

Comic writing course

Writing comic books isn't easy. Not if you want to write good ones, anyway. Arjun Raj Gaind  - who leads this comic writing course -  is a master of this art form. He's been writing comics (graphic novels) since 2007. He has worked with & published comics in association with Virgin Comics, Liquid Comics and now Graphic India. He learned to write comics from Mackenzie Cadenhead from Marvel Comics and Mariah Huehner from Vertigo.  All panels on this page - including the one above - are from graphic novels Arjun has written and published.

We're now accepting applications for our Comic Writing Course led by Arjun. This residential Masterclass will be held over 3 days at the Himalayan Writing Retreat. We'll only accept ten applicants.

A place to fuel your imagination.

The Himalayan Writing Retreat

This masterclass is for intermediate - advanced writers. If you're new to writing and need to learn the basics, please start with our Creative Writing Workshop first.   Click here for details.

In this Comic writing course we'll start with the origins of the craft. We then dive deep and examine the numerous choices and tools available to the creator of a graphic novel. We try them out. Over three days, each participant tries to create a unique piece of content. In that process we experiment, make mistakes & learn. Most importantly, we do.

The detailed three-day program of the comic writing course will follow shortly.
